In 1939, Norman Littell accepted President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s
request to take on the position of assistant attorney general. His
duties involved supervising land acquisition. After a while, he
became very vocal about anti-trust business affairs and was fired by
FDR in 1944.
Norman Littell wrote two books about his life experiences,
Trails of the Sea and My Roosevelt Years.
He is descended from James Littell (b. 1720) of Ireland and Alice
Moffitt.
