Special veteran
As Old Glory waves in the breeze over the grave of William Littell, it takes on an extra meaning this Fourth of July holiday.  Born in 1745, Littell served in the Revolutionary War with the Pennsylvania Fourth
Regiment.  He was captured by the British at the battle of Bound Brook in April, 1777, and was held prisoner for 18 months.  Littell is buried in the Anderson Memorial Cemetary at Service Creek reservoir in Racoon Township.                 (Photo by Rudy Schunk)
